Pokemon Emerald Guide (Battling,buildings,items, buttons)

Battling: wild pokemon: wild pokemon will jump out at you in tall grass or water. You can surf on water later. You can't now. The pokemon you will see change the farther you go. Once a pokemon jumps out at you, You will have to throw out your pokemon and come to a menu of four things:
Fight: This brings you to a menu of your pokemon's moves that it can do. A pokemon can have 1-4 moves. Moves can inflict damage on a pokemon. If you inflict alot of damage on one pokemon, it will faint, and you win the battle. however, If the other pokemon makes your pokemon faint, you lose and get transported back to the PC Center you last used. Same with trainer battles.
Pokemon:This will bring you to a list of your pokemon. If you want a different pokemon to come into battle, select this, select the pokemon, and select shift.
Bag:This will bring you to a list of items that you have. You can select any item you want to give to your pokemon. Look in the items section of the guide.
Run: You should do this when your pokemon are either tired, or weak against the pokemon that jumped out at you. You will have less chance of getting away the weaker you are against them. You cannot do this during trainer battles.

Pokemon Emerald Walkthrough 1st badge

A guy will come up on the screen named Prof. Birch. Say if you're a boy or a girl and your name. You will then be in the back of a moving truck. Wait until a light appears at the entrance, then go out and your mom will meet you there. She will send you up to your room to set your clock. You don't really have to put the exact time. Go back downstairs and she'll show you something on the TV. After watching that, Go over to the house next door. The girl there will talk to you, then go upstairs and press A when you're next to the pokeball. The A button is the button you press to select something. The pokeball looks like a red and white ball. Once you click on it, a guy named Brendan willpopup if you're a girl. If you're a boy, a girl named May will pop up. They'll talk to you and then go away. You'll hear me say Brendan althrough this walkthrough because I'm a girl. Go outside then walk upwards. A small girl will stop you after about ten steps. She'll make you go forwards, then you will see Prof. Birch cornered by a Zigzagoon. Walk to his brown bag on the ground and click on it. You will then come to a menu with theese three pokemon that you will get to keep when you finish rescuing him:
Torchic:I personally picked this pokemon because it is cool and pretty powerfull.
Mudkip: I really wouldn't pick this one because it isn't very powerfull, exspecially it's evolved forms.
Treeko:This pokemon is pretty cool and pretty powerfull. It is the rarest of the three.
